The most overused phrase of the year – “these are crazy times”. Unfortunately, for so many of us, that is truer than true. If you’re not in a mandatory shelter in place location, it’s highly possible that you will be sometime soon. So how do you protect your home, with supplies so scarce?
Happily, I stumbled upon this helpful article that just might help.
Basically, there’s normal everyday clean, and then there’s “battling the COVID-19” clean. If you’re looking to fully disinfect those high activity areas, there’s a simple formula to follow, as recommended by the CDC. You’ll want to be using a bleach solution diluted with water. With stores running severely low on cleaning supplies, it’s important to find alternative ways to keep your home squeaky clean.
Per the CDC, just follow this bleach recipe: 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) bleach per gallon of water, or 4 teaspoons of bleach per quart of water. That’s enough to kill any potential virus living on your home surfaces. Happy cleaning!
Of course, there’s more tips and tricks. See below . . .
That’s it from me for now. But Rose Tree will always be here if you need us.
Stay safe and healthy everyone!
